Anu Talus has served as the Data Protection Ombudsman since autumn 2020. Talus is M.A. and Doctor of Laws by training.

Before her current position, she worked as Deputy Data Protection Ombudsman in the Office of the Data Protection Ombudsman. Her previous posts include Senior Adviser, Legislative Affairs and Special EU Adviser in the Ministry of Justice.
